The Australian Hydrogen Council is supporting technology development and commercialisation across the hydrogen ecosystem. This includes providing opportunities for technology startups, SMEs, research institutions and government to collaborate and share information.
Our strategic focus is:

Our ambition is to see the Australian industry become a global leader in key parts of the hydrogen supply chain through our universities, start-ups and SMEs developing and commercialising innovative technologies.
Supporting Australian innovation is critical to strengthening Australia’s position as a global leader in hydrogen, and also opens up new opportunities across the value chain including derivatives, green metals and fuels that use hydrogen, as well as the broader supply chain required to make, store, move and use the molecule.
Governments have a role to play in directing investors’ attention to opportunities and create value propositions that investors recognise.
AHC has a dedicated member-only activity stream on ‘technology and supply chain.’ This feeds into our policy committee, and aims to support advocacy and engagement to ensure Australian capability and equipment meets the needs of the developing industry.
Industry Growth Program: Industry Partner Organisation
AHC is providing specialised support and advisory services to the Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR)’s Industry Growth Program: Industry Partner Organisation (IPO).
Our AusHETs project provides specialised advice and support to startups and small and medium businesses participating in the IPO. This will focus on growing Australia’s Hydrogen Equipment, Technology & Services (HETS) sector, through the development of new technologies and enabling SMEs to transition from existing industries into hydrogen.
We are working in collaboration with Cicada Innovations to deliver a number of workshops, such as the Hydrogen Elevate Workshops and Hydrogen Fast Start Program and Climate Salad to tap into its network and take part in industry recognised events.
