AHC Executive Team

We are passionate about developing the policy critical to getting the industry to scale, creating markets and reducing knowledge gaps.

Dr Fiona Simon is the CEO of the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC), the peak body for the Australian hydrogen industry.

Prior to joining the Australian Hydrogen Council, Fiona worked for close to 20 years in energy policy and regulation, specialising in energy retail competition and consumer protection matters.

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne. She has published a well-regarded academic book on retail energy regulation in Australia.

Keira Dinsdale-Facci

Keira Dinsdale-Facci is the Operations and Member Manager for the Australian Hydrogen Council.

Keira is responsible for engaging with members on a day-to-day basis and managing the smooth rollout of all member events including educational webinars and member meetings.

Keira collaborates with members on upcoming media announcements and drives the AHC’s internal communications strategy.

Leigh Kennedy is the General Manager – Industry and Supply Chain Development at the Australian Hydrogen Council. Leigh works collaboratively across Australia to de-risk domestic demand, domestic uptake of technology and grow a nationally networked Hydrogen Technology, Equipment and Technology (HETS) industry that can be promoted globally.

Prior to joining the AHC, Leigh worked for almost a decade connecting Australian SME’s and international investors with new commercial and partnership opportunities. Most recently, Leigh was the General Manager at NERA and developed a regional hydrogen technology cluster network that has fast tracked shared industry learnings and grown Australia’s industry network.

Katerina Aleksoska

Katerina Aleksoska is the General Manager, International at the Australian Hydrogen Council. She is focused on expanding the AHC’s international network and relationships, with the intention of assisting AHC member organisations to expand their reach and influence, as well as foster the investment partnerships needed to build and scale the hydrogen industry in Australia.

Katerina is an experienced public servant and has worked across policy, industry development and investment attraction roles. Most recently, Katerina was the Director of Investment Strategy at Breakthrough Victoria, and at Invest Victoria she was the Market Lead for inbound investments from Japan and Korea and project manager for the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) pilot project.

Natasha Cerexhe

Natasha Cerexhe is a Policy Officer, building upon the knowledge base, engagement and communications of the Australian Hydrogen Council.

Natasha has experience working with government, peak industry, and with both energy and environmental policy. She has managed environmental and recycling initiatives, as well as designed and implemented social research projects.

Natasha holds a Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Science) with an Honours thesis focused on the motivations driving community-owned energy and energy democracy.

Julian McCoy

Julian McCoy is a Senior Policy Officer, jointly appointed by the Australian Hydrogen Council and the Clean Energy Council. His focus is workforce development in hydrogen and across the supply chain.

Before joining the AHC and CEC in November 2022, Julian was undertaking workforce modelling with the Net Zero Australia project as his research thesis for the Master of Environment. His professional experience includes ten years in tertiary education, most recently in continuous improvement, data analysis and project management roles at the University of Melbourne.

Julian holds a Master of Environment and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
